Fall excursions in Davos

I love the in-between season in Davos: gorgeous fall colors, blue skies, first snow – magic is in the air. Here are some day tour inspirations.

Sunrise Tour Strelapass

Get up early and hike up to the Strelapass where you start your day with a nice breakfast and beautiful views over the Davos mountain range.

Schatzalp Lunch

I could die for their Swiss „Rösti“. Although this place is a bit too touristy for me, every now and then I like to stop by for lunch.

Flüelapass

Ready for some magic? This is by far one of my favorite areas for sporting activities. In 2021 I will be back with an awesome bike & hike tour up to the Schwarzhorn.

Sertig Valley

Yes, I know, I have already published so many posts on it. But it is a classic and always worth a tour for everyone: mountain bikers, trail runners and hikers.

Dischma

During fall season this valley reminds me of Iceland: mystery & love is in the air.

Burger at Lokal Davos

After a great long day tour I often crave my favorite burger at Lokal Davos, best burger place in town, if you ask me.

Sertig Waterfall – Sertigpass – Grünsee – Scalettapass

There are so many awesome trail running routes in Davos, but this is currently my favorite. You start in the Sertig valley, make a little detour at the waterfall to inhale all the positive energy. Then you run up the Sertigpass, go skinny dipping at the Grünsee and then run all the way up to the Scalettapass.

You simply listen to the sound of the river, melting snow and these cute little marmots. The ultimate pursuit of freedom, of feeling alive. It doesn’t get much better than this.

Rinerhorn Davos Klosters

What I love about Davos is that there are so many different trails and mountain paths that you can actually be alone, if you feel like it. During any day of the week.

One of my favorite spots is the Rinerhorn because there are so many different routes up and down this local mountain. Although it has been attracting more and more tourists, it is still more popular among locals, which I love.

Whether you wanna go mountain biking, running or hiking, this one has it all and I always discover something new. If you are a trail runner or hiker, don’t take the cable car – walk or run up the mountain either via Davos Clavadel or Sertig; it is so worth it.

Holiday Season in Seefeld & Davos

Tis the season. Winter magic, hot punch, lots of powder action and simply taking it easy. It is my favorite season. Hence, it is also a bit more quiet around here. I just love to spend these magical times with my beloved ones, enjoying the holiday season in Seefeld & Davos.

Seefeld

Tyrol is just a short drive from Munich and one of my favorite winter sports destinations. I am not a huge après-ski fan and always try to avoid the crowds. Hence, I know exactly which routes to take in order to have some peaceful moments and high-quality alone time, appreciating nature and the great outdoors.

Davos

Well, it is no secret that I have lost my heart in Davos. For the first time, I will spend New Year’s in Grison and I am looking forward to trying out new things. Maybe I will go night sledding at the Rinerhorn on New Year’s Eve, try air boarding at Pischa or will go on a romantic horse-sleigh ride.

So, apologies that it is going to be a bit more quiet around here till the end of December. But I will definitely keep you posted afterwards, sharing my highlights and new training goals.

Till then, enjoy the holiday season with your loved ones and don’t get too stressed. Just relax and live a litte.
